Dub Techno Stories is a new creative project by NIORIC that blends atmospheric dub techno music with cinematic science fiction storytelling.
Instead of a traditional music video, each track becomes part of a larger animated sci-fi narrative, where music, visuals and environments work together to create an immersive experience.
The first episode, Mars Lower Orbit, introduces the universe of Dub Techno Stories: a dystopian Earth, mysterious characters and a journey that moves between our planet and a distant colony on Mars.
At the center of the story is a pilot tasked with transporting a cryogenic capsule across space. What initially appears to be a routine operation slowly evolves into something much more complex, leading to unexpected decisions and consequences.
The story unfolds entirely through visual storytelling and music, without dialogue, allowing the atmosphere of the dub techno track to guide the viewer through the narrative.
Dub Techno Meets Sci-Fi Animation
Dub techno has always been deeply connected to atmosphere, space and introspective soundscapes.
With Dub Techno Stories, that sonic world becomes visual.
Each episode combines:
- dub techno music
- sci-fi environments
- animated storytelling
- cinematic visuals
The result is something between a short animated film and a dub techno music video, designed to immerse the viewer in a futuristic universe.
