Milan, Italy – May 2025 – Italian producer NIORIC unveils his latest album, Solid: a 13-track tribute to the core essence of Dub Techno.
Following a period of sonic exploration and boundary-pushing experimentation, Solid marks a deliberate return to the genre’s foundational elements, embracing its raw minimalism, atmospheric textures, and hypnotic rhythmic structures.
With tempos steadily ranging between 118 and 120 BPM, Solid delivers a cohesive narrative from start to finish, moving fluidly through cavernous ambient spaces, submerged chords, and rhythmically driven moments.
From the opening track to the final note, NIORIC outlines the full spectrum of Dub Techno, offering a deeply immersive experience anchored in the genre’s legacy, yet touched by a contemporary production sensibility.
This is NIORIC’s second full-length Dub Techno album, and a clear artistic statement following the experimental single Chlorophyll, where the artist explored modular textures, sonic abstraction, and genre deconstruction.
“With Chlorophyll I pushed the boundaries of sound,” says NIORIC. “But Solid is different, it’s about discipline, structure, and staying true to what Dub Techno really is.
I wanted to create something rooted, physical, and textural.”
Before dedicating himself to the Dub Techno scene, NIORIC built a name producing across various electronic genres, including Tech House, ambient electronica, and chill-out.
That diverse background continues to influence his aesthetic, visible in the precision of his sound design and in the meditative pacing that runs throughout his work.
With Solid, NIORIC solidifies (in every sense) his position as one of the most consistent and conceptually aware voices in today’s underground Dub Techno movement.
